Terry officially founded Demmer Design in 2003 when he re-located to Dubuque, Iowa shortly after graduating from college. Working in publishing, Terry found very few ways to grow artistically and started a free-lance graphics company that would allow him to do so. Ever since, the company has been planting it's roots in the Dubuque community which has continued to re-establishing itself on a large scale as a destination for commerce, tourism, and culture. The ideal location for a creative business to grow.
The first few years were focused on planning, discovery, making connections and building up a small base of clients. Much of the creative work during that time was of benefit several local non-profit organizations. In recent years there have been some major innovative enhancements in web-site capabilities and development as well as a growing presence in several niche markets.
In 2009, Demmer Design welcomed a major addition, a true "partnership" so to speak, with a top notch professional photo editor with years of hand-on experience. Jolee brings incredible talent in digital photo restoration and editing.
The cornerstone of our foundation is simply a goal of providing the client with the most innovative approach in developing economical design solutions. Our approach:
- Put the client in the passenger seat, as the "navigator" so to speak, to help drive the design into the desired end product. We interview and listen to what the client wants, discuss some ideas and devise several plans.
- Provide suggestions to help layout the future of your ideas so the groundwork is started now.
- Research the topic and develop several innovative concepts.
- Re-visit with the client to discuss the potential options and research findings, and then return to the drawing board to finalize a successful solution for the client.
